The inhabitants of modern day Iran were Zoroastrians before the country was converted. Zoroastrians disappeared from Iran with the only survivors living as Pariss mostly in India.
Honestly, just like the Jews who were persecuted everywhere except India, the same Hindus rescued the remaining Zoroastrians. So when people talks about intolerance in India, look carefully – you will find it’s the people who exterminated others making the claims.

On one hand, it looks so exotic (if only you could smell it!). At the same time, this is everyday life — something quite ordinary for most of the people pictured in the panorama.
