We use our DSLR camera with an 8mm lens to take 4 photos at 90-degree angles (+ one overhead for sky). Then we stitch these 5 images together using AutoPano Giga to create the flat panorama. After that, we use PanoTour Pro software to create the flash “tour” you see above. Sounds rather complicated, but it’s not so bad 🙂

I do believe there are some cool iPhone apps that do something similar, but don’t know how to export the file to upload for blog posts.

To me, Jaws Corner is one of the most photogenic spots in Stone Town. I can completely understand taking loads of photos there. What I couldn’t understand is when groups would blow right through it on their tours.
